GPU users: GPU nodes run EL9, while this documentation still reflects the EL7 software stack.

Run module avail on an EL9 login node, or within an interactive session on the relevant GPU type, to see the software available.

The documentation will be updated once all nodes have migrated to EL9.

JADE (Tier 2 GPU cluster)

JADE was decommissioned in September 2021.

The Joint Academic Data Science Endeavour (JADE) was the largest GPU facility in the UK supporting world-leading research in machine learning.

The computational hub harnessed the capabilities of the NVIDIA DGX-1 Deep Learning System and was comprised of 22 servers, each containing 8 of the newest NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs linked by NVIDIA’s NV link interconnect technology.
