The ShARC HPC cluster was decommissioned on the 30th of November 2023 at 17:00. It is no longer possible for users to access that cluster.

32-core nodes (Computer Science)

The Department of Computer Science (DCS) have purchased 4 nodes in ShARC through the OpenDreamKit project that each have more than the standard number of cores for ShARC nodes (16).

Four nodes (sharc-node142 to sharc-node145) each have:

2x Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors (2.10 GHz, 16 cores per processor i.e. 32 total)

256 GB RAM (8 GB / CPU core)

NUMA nodes

100 Gbps Omni-Path

Local storage

839 GB under /scratch (HDD)
